Sunday School Students

Teaching children about the love of God in Jesus Christ and training them in the ways of living according to God’s word is a primary responsibility of parents.  St. John’s stands ready to help by offering a year-round Sunday School program.  All children 3-years-old through 8th grade are invited to participate–they do not even have to be church members.  Parents may simply bring their kids to any Sunday School session to register or call the church office ahead of time.

REGULAR SUNDAY SCHOOL has resumed. Classes are available for children three-years-old through 8th grade.  To ensure we have current contact and emergency information for all students, parents are asked to complete an enrollment form. Please see Cara Rentz, Superintendent, for a form.

Come join us for New Life Family Day during the Sunday School time on January 21st and Good Shepherd Sunday on April 21st.

The students also sing on various Sunday’s during Worship Services.

Teacher Appreciation Day is Sunday, May 19th.

We pray the good Lord bless students and staff with a great year of spiritual growth.

High School Students

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.  All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.     2 Timothy 3:14-17

Among Satan’s temptations to High School students is the one that says they do not need to continue learning about God after they are confirmed.  Some think they have “graduated” from learning God’s word.

In fact, the High School years are some of the very most important years for young people to be in God’s truth.  Life is changing so fast, individually and for the society, that the solid foundation of God’s word is critical for life–daily and eternal.

All high school students are encouraged to continue studying God’s Word and its application to life by joining our Director of Christian Education, Dave Erickson, as he teaches the Sunday Morning Youth Bible study at 9:15am in the youth room. Students will be challenged and enlightened.  Questions will be answered and students will be prepared to meet the challenges and joys of adult life.
